Now Hiring — New York

Executive Assistant to Founder / NYC Expansion Lead.

We're hiring our first Executive Assistant in New York — but calling it an EA role undersells it. This is the Founder's Associate for Met Global's NYC expansion: hub of the city's operation, architect of an elite EA community, and boots on the ground in Manhattan.

i. about met global

Premium ground transportation for the firms that matter.

Overview

Met Global Mobility builds premium private ground transportation programs for Fortune 500 leadership, private jet clients, and family offices. Our Boston operation is our flagship. We are now establishing our New York City headquarters.

ii. the role

A right-hand seat. Three things to own.

Context

Our Founder is based between Boston and Miami, running regular 72-hour NYC sprints. Our Hunter is in the streets closing the city's largest firms. We need a Founder's Associate to be our permanent presence in Manhattan — the hub of our NYC expansion.

You will own three things:

Your Three Pillars
  1. The Founder's time in New York. Every Midtown meeting, every prep doc, every follow-up. You make his 72 hours in the city the most productive 72 hours of his month.
  2. The intelligence behind our sales. You are the Spotter for our Hunter — researching AmLaw 100 firms, hedge funds, and PE shops, then opening the door yourself through peer-to-peer outreach to their EAs and Chiefs of Staff. Your goal is a qualified meeting on the Hunter's calendar.
  3. An elite community. You build an invite-only network of 50–100 senior NYC Executive Assistants at AmLaw 100 firms, hedge funds, family offices, and luxury hospitality groups. You host them, feed them, and turn their relationships into our client pipeline.
What You'll Do
  1. Host the community. 4–6 high-touch dinners per year at venues like Casa Cipriani and Zero Bond. A quarterly breakfast series. Event activations during US Open, Fashion Week, and select Met-hosted moments. You own the invite list, the venues, the follow-up, and the reporting on which relationships convert.
  2. Research and open doors. Identify the exact hooks that get us meetings at target firms — news, leadership changes, funding rounds, portfolio moves. Then reach out yourself, peer-to-peer, and book the meeting on the Hunter's calendar. You set the table. The Hunter closes.
  3. Run the Founder's NYC sprints. Own his calendar, prep, logistics, and follow-ups end-to-end.
  4. Represent the brand. Your communications with senior EAs and Chiefs of Staff reflect the premium nature of Met Global. Tight, professional, peer-to-peer.
  5. Handle NYC ops. Scout Midtown meeting locations, manage our coworking presence, handle office logistics, and conduct quality checks on affiliate vehicles. Boots on the ground.
You set the table. The Hunter closes.
iii. the candidate

A New Yorker. With relationships.

What You Bring
  1. NYC fluency. You know the city because you've worked in it. You don't need a map to know where the power lunches happen or how to navigate Midtown.
  2. Existing relationships. You know senior EAs at NYC firms because you've worked alongside them. The best candidates can name 20+ people they'd invite to a dinner tomorrow.
  3. A writer's instinct. You can write a three-sentence DM to the Chief of Staff at a top-tier firm and get an immediate response.
  4. High agency. You see a gap and you fill it. You don't wait for a task list — you tell us what needs to happen in NYC.
  5. Taste and composure. You're comfortable in rooms with senior partners, elite executive support staff, and UHNW principals.
Bonus if you have

Experience in any of: luxury hospitality, private aviation, family office EA work, sales operations at a high-growth startup, or executive support at a professional services firm. These aren't required — but they signal familiarity with the caliber of clients and rhythm we operate in.

iv. compensation

Base, bonus, perks. A real seat, not a cog.

Base Salary
$95–110K
Paid biweekly. W-2 or 1099. Experience-based.
Performance Bonus
$7.5–15K annual
Paid against NYC revenue milestones and EA community growth benchmarks.
Perks
Stipend + travel
Health stipend, expense account for client entertainment and events, premium travel when accompanying the Founder.
Schedule
On-site, Midtown
4–5 days per week. Occasional early mornings. Some evenings for networking events.
v. application

Four NYC-fluency challenges. No cover letter.

We don't read cover letters. We read specifics. These four challenges are designed to show us whether you actually live in this world — the city, the network, the rhythm. Applications without real answers will not be reviewed.

You don't need to name specific contacts. Tell us the industries where you have warm relationships, the caliber of principals those EAs support, and how you've used this network in past roles. The strongest candidates can speak to 20+ people they'd confidently invite to a dinner. 4–6 sentences.

This is what peer-to-peer outreach looks like in practice. Use a real firm, a real hook (news, leadership change, funding round — something specific to them), and write the actual message you'd send. We'll know if it's generic.

Where (specific venue)? When? Who's on the invite list (types of firms, not names)? What's the format — speakers, seating, curated programming, or just great food and introductions? Show us you've thought about this before. 4–6 sentences.

Name the exact places and why you picked each. We want to see that you know the city the way a local does — not a Yelp search. Bonus if you know which ones are hard to book.
